Ο Todd Michael Hall έγινε γνωστός στο "μεταλλικό" κοινό λόγω της παρουσίας του στους Riot V (τα τελευταία ένδεκα έτη). Παράλληλα έχουμε ακούσει την φωνή του σε δίσκους των Jack Starr's Burning Starr, Timo Tolkki's Avalon, Reverence κλπ.

Παράλληλα "τρέχει" και την προσωπική του καριέρα, στην οποία προστέθηκε ένας ακόμη δίσκος. "Off the Rails" ο τίτλος και "βγήκε" στην "καρδιά" του περασμένου φθινοπώρου. Στο πλευρό του Todd ο κιθαρίστας (των Metal Church, Presto Ballet κλπ) Kurdt Vanderhoof.

Σήμερα θα τον παρακολουθήσουμε, σε βίντεο, να αποδίδει (φωνητικά) το τραγούδι των Stryper "Soldiers Under Command" και να μας λέει σχετικά:

«I own a lot of Stryper albums all the way up to the most recent, but "Soldiers Under Command" from 1985 holds a special place in my heart, because it was my introduction to the band. Michael Sweet is an awesome song writer, guitar player, and vocalist. Special thanks to Michael and the guys in Stryper for the incredible music that inspires us to this day.

On the technical side:

I am calling this a live vocal cover, because I sang the song from beginning to end in one take without any vocal dubs or edits.

I have always felt that Michael and I had similar voices and it held true for this song. Not that this song is necessarily easy to sing, but it fits my voice very well. This take was my first full attempt of the song.

The music came from Moises (with just the lead vocal deleted). I sent my vocal track and the music track to my friend Kurdt Vanderhoof who added some effects to the vocals and blended them in with the music. Special thanks to Kurdt for his assistance.»

Το τραγούδι "Soldiers Under Command" το γνωρίσαμε ως μέρος του ομότιτλου δίσκου των Stryper (το εναρκτήριο μουσικό κομμάτι) που κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιούνιο του 1985. Παράλληλα "βγήκε" και αυτόνομα ως single (το επτάιντσο είχε το "Together as One" στην δεύτερη πλευρά του βινυλίου, ενώ υπάρχει και έκδοση με το "The Rock That Makes Me Roll" στην δεύτερη πλευρά).
