Η Σουηδική (metal) σκηνή της δεκαετίας του ενενήντα ήταν από τις πλέον πρωτοπόρες, δραστήριες και "πλούσιες" τόσο ποιοτικά όσο και ποσοτικά, σε παγκόσμια κλίμακα. Μέρος της αποτέλεσαν και οι Hollow, οι οποίοι δραστηριοποιήθηκαν στο δεύτερο των 90ς κυκλοφορώντας ένα demo ("Speak to Me" 1995), ένα EP ("Stand or Fall" 1995) και ισάριθμα full length albums ("Modern Cathedral" 1997, "Architect of the Mind" 1999).

Το 1999 διαλύθηκαν όμως το 2018 επανήλθαν δριμύτεροι "βγάζοντας" δύο ακόμη "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους ("Between Eternities of Darkness" 2018, "Tower" 2021). Το περασμένο φθινόπωρο (στις 31 Οκτωβρίου 2024) οι δύο 90ς δίσκοι των Σουηδών metallers κυκλοφόρησαν για πρώτη φορά σε βινύλιο μέσω της δισκογραφικής εταιρείας Doc Gator Records (χωρίς επιπλέον τραγούδια)...

The remastering work was carried out entirely by Luka Matkovic at Citadela Studio in Belgrade to take the sound of the two albums to the next level and bring Hollow 's legacy to life for a new generation of fans.

Modern Cathedral (1997)

Originally known as Vaalkyrian, Andreas Stoltz (vocals/guitar) , Thomas Nilsson (bass) and Urban Wikström (drums) changed the band name to Hollow after bringing second guitarist Marcus Bigren into the band. In 1997, Hollow released their debut album "Modern Cathedral" on the small label MM Records.

The album quickly gained attention and led to the band getting Nuclear Blast to reissue it with new cover artwork by Kristian 'Necrolord' Wahlin. This debut is a masterpiece of melodic heavy metal with progressive elements and shows a deep love for classic bands like Crimson Glory and Queensryche.»
