Ο Doug Sampson είναι ο τρίτος (χρονικά) drummer των Iron Maiden. Ενσωματώθηκε στην Βρετανική μπάντα το 1977 και έφυγε δύο έτη αργότερα (το 1979). Πρόκειται για τον drummer της (ιστορικής) πρώτης κυκλοφορίας των Maiden καθώς μετείχε στο demo "The Soundhouse Tapes" που "βγήκε" τον Νοέμβριο του 1979, ενώ ηχογράφησε τα τύμπανα στο τραγούδι "Burning Ambition", το οποίο μπήκε στην δεύτερη πλευρά του single "Running Free" που κυκλοφόρησε τον Φεβρουάριο του 1980.

Το 1987 ήταν εκ των ιδρυτικών μελών του συγκροτήματος Airforce, συγκρότημα το οποίο συνεχίζει μέχρι τις ημέρες μας (με ένα εξαετές διάλειμμα). Στην πρώτη περίοδο της μπάντας (1987-2001) δεν υπήρξε επίσημη κυκλοφορία. Η δισκογραφία τους αρχίζει μετά την επανένωσή τους το 2008.

Οι Airforce έχουν κυκλοφορήσει δύο "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους ("Judgement Day" 2016), "Strike Hard" 2020), ισάριθμα EPs ("The Black Box Recordings: Volume 1" 2017, "The Black Box Recordings: Volume 2" 2018), δύο singles και ένα live album ("Live Locked n' Loaded - In Poland Lublin Radio" 2021).

Το νέο τους πόνημα φέρει τον τίτλο "Acts of Madness" και αναμένεται στα τελειώματα του χειμώνα...
