Torture - 'Last Post: The Complete Delivery 1980-1981'

Στα τελειώματα της δεκαετίας του εβδομήντα δημιουργήθηκαν στην Αγγλία (Kent, England) οι Torture. NWOBHM συγκρότημα το οποίο έμεινε ενεργό για κάποια χρόνια καταφέρνοντας να κυκλοφορήσει ένα demo τριών τραγουδιών το 1980 και ένα single (επίσης τριών τραγουδιών) το επόμενο έτος (1981).

Στην συνέχεια μετονομάσθηκαν σε Mean Streak και κάπου εκεί ολοκληρώθηκε ο καλλιτεχνικός τους κύκλος. Η δισκογραφική εταιρεία Cult Metal Classics συγκέντρωσε όλα τα δισκογραφήματα των Torture / Mean Streak και θα μας τα παρουσιάσει το νέο έτος (2025). Η συλλογή θα φέρει τον τίτλο "Last Post: The Complete Delivery 1980-1981"...

Δελτίο τύπου: «Speaking of cult NWOBHM heroes, TORTURE more that fit the description, being one of the early British metal bands that played classic raw hard rock / heavy metal, having released a highly sought after 7" single in 1981 featuring three songs.

The band was formed in the late 70's and aside from the single they also recorded a very hard to find demo tape one year before the single (1980). Later on they changed their name to MEAN STREAK and after recording a few more songs, they called it quits, leaving behind a more than significant music legacy, waiting to be (re)discovered by today's rock n' metal crowds.

We were fortunate enough to get in touch with co-founding members Ray Askew (vocals, guitars) and Clive Robinson (guitars) and we reached an agreement to release their complete music catalog as TORTURE and MEAN STREAK.

The band was able to unearth great photos, articles and posters from their early days, so be prepared for a killer reissue that will do justice to the raw, powerful music of TORTURE, featuring remastered sound, lyrics, liner notes and previously unreleased songs.

The TORTURE reissue will be available on CD, Vinyl and Digital Platforms (iTunes, Spotify etc) and is expected to be out by the Spring of 2025.»
