Οι (αγαπημένοι μου) Armored Saint δημιουργήθηκαν το μακρινό 1982. Το ίδιο έτος (9 Απριλίου 1982) κυκλοφόρησε σε κασέτα το -πέντε τραγουδιών "First Demo". Τα τρία ("Lesson Well Learned", "False Alarm", "On the Way") από τα πέντε τραγούδια του demo αποτέλεσαν το μουσικό περιεχόμενο του ομώνυμου ep που κυκλοφόρησε τον επόμενο χρόνο (9 Αυγούστου 1983) και κάπως έτσι ξεκίνησε η ιστορία των Armored Saint, οι οποίοι παραμένουν ενεργοί μέχρι τις ημέρες μας έχοντας κυκλοφορήσει οκτώ "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους, τρία live albums, μία.. ενδεκάδα demos, δύο EPs, τρεις συλλογές και μπόλικα singles.

Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι το ομώνυμο ep δεν (και επίσημο ντεμπούτο των Armored Saint) δεν κυκλοφόρησε ποτέ (αυτόνομα) σε cd, μόνο σε βινύλιο (με πλέον πρόσφατη την επανακυκλοφορία της Metal Blade Records τον 2012) και σε ψηφιακή μορφή. Ακούμε τον Dave Prichard (R.I.P. 1990) στην κιθάρα, τον John Bush στα φωνητικά, τον Phil Sandoval στην κιθάρα, τον Joey Vera στο μπάσο και τον Gonzo στα τύμπανα...
