Sanctum - 'Running Away' (official lyric video)

Οι Sanctum από το Νιου Τζέρσεϊ (ή Νιου Τζέρσεϋ ή Νέα Ιερσέη) έδρασαν στο δεύτερο μισό της δεκαετίας του ογδόντα και στις αρχές των 90ς. Μπάντα μελωδικού Αμερικάνικου heavy - power metal στο ύφος των Queensrÿche, των Lethal ή των Hittman κατάφερε να κυκλοφορήσει μόλις ένα (αυτοχρηματοδοτούμενο) ep έξι τραγουδιών υπό τον τίτλο "Believers" το 1991.

Προ τετραετίας το ep επανακυκλοφόρησε (μαζί με οτιδήποτε άλλο έχουν ηχογραφήσει οι Sanctum) μέσω της δισκογραφικής εταιρείας Arkeyn Steel Records σε cd και πλέον θα "βγει" (επισήμως για πρώτη φορά) και σε βινύλιο...

Δελτίο τύπου: «Hailing from Florence, New Jersey, Sanctum is one of those (few) U.S. metal bands from the 80's, that despite releasing only one album with 6 songs back in 1991, they managed to gain a cult following through the years because all the songs they ever penned deliver high quality power metal music in the vein of early Queensrÿche (EP and "Warning" era).

And they are in no way Queensrÿche clones as they manage to showcase a unique sound, cleverly blending their influences into classic U.S. metal tunes.

The album was available as a CD reissue from Arkeyn Steel records a few years ago and as it was never officially released on vinyl format, we decided it was about time to get it right.

So with the assistance of Christine Tsaprouni, we got in touch with Ray Babula, the original guitar player and main song writer of the band and agreed on releasing a killer vinyl edition that will feature remastered sound by Nasos Nomikos, lyrics, bonus songs and a larger than life extended interview with the band, thanks to the kind permission of Chris Papadakis who is a known metal journalist and singer of the great Greek band Afterimage.

The limited to 300 copies vinyl edition is expected by early 2025 and in the meantime we prepared for you a lyric video of one of the best songs of the album, so that you get a taste of what's coming up.»
