Πριν από 21 έτη, το 2003, δημιουργήθηκαν στην Ιταλία οι Nanowar σατιρίζοντας το "true metal" (κυρίως τους Manowar). Τρία χρόνια αργότερα μετονομάσθηκαν σε Nanowar of Steel "τρολάροντας" τους Rhapsody, οι οποίοι μετονομάσθηκαν (την ίδια χρονιά) σε Rhapsody of Fire.

Χρησιμοποιώντας τα κλισέ των Manowar αυτοχαρακτηρίζονται ως "the TRUEST metal band in the known universe". Στα είκοσι ένα χρόνια καριέρας έχουν κυκλοφορήσει έξι "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους, δύο demos, 17 singles, ένα ep και δύο live albums.

Στα τελειώματα του τρέχοντος έτους (στις 6 Δεκεμβρίου 2024) θα κυκλοφορήσουν μέσω της δισκογραφικής εταιρείας Napalm Records την συλλογή "XX Years of Steel" σε τριπλό cd, σε διπλό βινύλιο συν cd και σε ψηφιακή μορφή, στο πλαίσιο της προώθησης του οποίου μας παρουσιάζουν το βίντεο με την "ζωντανή" ηχογράφηση - φιλμογράφηση του τραγουδιού "The Power Of Imodium" (από τον περσινό τους δίσκο "Dislike to False Metal") και μας λένε σχετικά:
