Ο έβδομος δίσκος των Judas Priest, με τον άκρως χαρακτηριστικό τίτλο "British Steel", κυκλοφόρησε τον Απρίλιο του 1980. Με το "Βρετανικό Ατσάλι" οι Priest βρήκαν τον τρόπο να εισβάλουν στην νέα δεκαετία "πιάνοντας" τον σφυγμό της εποχής.
