Μισό αιώνα πίσω μας γυρίζει το τραγούδι των Queen "White Queen (As It Began)". Αποτέλεσε μέρος του δεύτερου δίσκου της Βρετανικής μπάντας ("Queen II") που κυκλοφόρησε τον Μάρτιο του 1974 (το τρίτο τραγούδι της πρώτης πλευράς του βινυλίου).
Αποτελεί δημιουργία (μουσική σύνθεση και στίχοι) του Brian May και το συνέθεσε το 1968 εμπνευσμένος από το βιβλίο του Robert Graves "The White Goddess", το οποίο διάβαζε εκείνη την περίοδο και από μία φοιτήτρια που του άρεσε όπως έχει δηλώσει σε συνέντευξή του:
Στην παρούσα ανάρτηση θα παρακολουθήσουμε τον συνθέτη του τραγουδιού και την παρέα του να αποδίδουν "ζωντανά" το εν λόγω μουσικό κομμάτι στο Hammersmith Odeon στις 24 Δεκεμβρίου 1975 (κατά την τελευταία ημέρα της περιοδείας τους για την προώθηση του άλμπουμ "A Night at the Opera").
Το βίντεο της σημερινής ανάρτησης το βρίσκουμε στον "ζωντανά" ηχογραφημένο δίσκο των Queen "A Night at the Odeon - Hammersmith 1975" που κυκλοφόρησε (σε cd, dvd / blu-ray και βινύλιο) πριν από εννέα χρόνια, τον Νοέμβριο του 2015...
