Οι Knife μας έρχονται από την Γερμανία (Marburg, Hesse). Speed metal συγκρότημα το οποίο δημιουργήθηκε προ πενταετίας (το 2019) και μας συστήνεται κάπως έτσι: «Stainless steel forged in the hot winds of Hades. Screaming black speed metal punk from the heart of Germany. Wild, ferocious and raw!»

Οι Knife έχουν κυκλοφορήσει δύο "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους ("Knife" 2021, "Heaven into Dust" 2023), ισάριθμα EPs και τρία singles.

EP είναι και το νέο τους δισκογραφικό πόνημα. Φέρει τον τίτλο "Live Leather Hounds", αναμένεται τον επόμενο μήνα (σε δωδεκάιντσο βινύλιο και σε ψηφιακή μορφή) από την δισκογραφική εταιρεία Napalm Records και θα αποτελείται από έξι τραγούδια: τα πέντε (White Witch / Black Death, Inside the Electric Church, Black Leather Hounds, Heaven Into Dust, I am the Priest) είναι "ζωντανές" ηχογραφήσεις και το έκτο ("Metalized Blood") αποτελεί διασκευή σε Desaster.

Δελτίο τύπου: «"Live Leather Hounds - Capturing Knife’s Electrifying Live Fury! Thrilling German blackened / speed metal outfit Knife is set to release the new EP, Live Leather Hounds, on August 23, 2024 via Napalm Records.

Formed in 2019, the band overcame the challenges of the pandemic and cemented their presence in the scene once more with the previous studio album, Heaven Into Dust (2023), which German Rock Hard described as “one of the strongest (black)-speed albums of the year”.

In the same year, Knife also demonstrated their raging live performance at major festival shows like Wacken Open Air and Rock Hard festival, and is set to play at this year’s Rockharz festival.

Now, the quartet unveils five raging live tracks that were recorded during the Evil Obsession Tour with the mighty Sodom in 2023 and features a powerful cover of the black thrash icons Desaster. Recorded at the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen and the Obertraubling Eventhalle Airport in Regensburg, Live Leather Hounds showcases an energetic and organic mix of Knife’s discography.

The EP opens with the demonic “White Witch / Black Death”, setting the tone with its catchy raw refrain and fast, wild riffs. “Inside The Electric Church” follows with swift transitions between dark, throbbing punk chords and dual tracks that sustain the tension while “Black Leather Hounds” offers rough vocals infused with furious elements of heavy and black metal.

Next track, the latest raging album title track, “Heaven Into Dust”, delivers the sharpest speed metal and is topped by the dashing punk attitude of “I Am The Priest”. The EP wraps up with the studio track and cover “Metalized Blood”.
