Το μακρινό 1979 σχηματίσθηκαν στην βόρεια Αγγλία οι Tarot. Εντασσόμενοι στο ευρύτερο NWOBHM μουσικό ρεύμα έμειναν ενεργοί για μία τριετία χωρίς να καταφέρουν να κυκλοφορήσουν κάτι (εκτός από ένα τραγούδι σε συλλογή της εποχής).

Κάπου διάβασα ότι εκλάπη ο εξοπλισμός τους και αυτός ήταν ο λόγος της διάλυσής τους το 1982 καθώς δεν είχαν την οικονομική δυνατότητα να τον αναπληρώσουν. Το 2017 κυκλοφόρησε (αυτοχρηματοδοτούμενη) σε cd η συλλογή "Rough and Ready", η περιελάμβανε όλα τα ηχογραφήματα της Βρετανικής μπάντας.

Το επόμενο έτος (2018) η συλλογή ουσιαστικά επανακυκλοφόρησε, επίσης σε cd (σε 500 αντίτυπα), με άλλον τίτλο (το όνομα του συγκροτήματος) και νέο εξώφυλλο μέσω της δισκογραφικής εταιρείας Cult Metal Classics Records...
