Το 1980, όταν διαλύθηκαν οι Fandango, ο Ritchie Blackmore (μέσω του Barry Ambrosio), που έψαχνε τον αντικαταστάτη του Graham Bonnet, τηλεφώνησε στον Joe Lynn Turner και τα υπόλοιπα είναι (μουσική) ιστορία.

Ο Αμερικανός έγινε ο τρίτος τραγουδιστής του "Ουρανίου Τόξου", βάζοντας την "υπογραφή" του σε τρία full length albums ("Difficult to Cure" 1981, "Straight Between the Eyes" 1982, "Bent Out of Shape" 1983).

Αργότερα τον ακολούθησε (τον Ritchie) και στους Deep Purple, αλλά αυτό είναι μία άλλη ιστορία. Γυρίζουμε 43 έτη πίσω, στις 27 Ιουλίου 1981 στο Hammersmith Odeon του Λονδίνου και ακούμε τους Rainbow να αποδίδουν "ζωντανά" το τραγούδι "Can't Happen Here".

Ήταν η πρώτη περιοδεία των Rainbow με την καινούρια σύνθεση της μπάντας και αφορούσε στην προώθηση του δίσκου "Difficult To Cure". Ακούμε τον Ritchie Blackmore (κιθάρα), Joe Lynn Turner (φωνητικά), Roger Glover (μπάσο), Don Airey (πλήκτρα) και Bob Rondinelli (τύμπανα)...
