Το μακρινό 1985 σχηματίσθηκαν στο San Diego οι Aslan. Δύο χρόνια αργότερα (και μετά την κυκλοφορία του ομώνυμου demo) μετονομάσθηκαν σε Psychotic Waltz και τα υπόλοιπα είναι (ή θέλω να πιστεύω πως είναι) γνωστά.
Τέσσερις εξαιρετικοί δίσκοι ("A Social Grace" 1990, "Into the Everflow" 1992, "Mosquito" 1994, "Bleeding" 1996) και η μπάντα διαλύθηκε το 1997 για να επανέλθει το 2010 (με δισκογραφικό αποτέλεσμα το album "The God-Shaped Void" που κυκλοφόρησε προ τετραετίας).
Δισκογραφική παρουσία θα έχουν και φέτος με την κυκλοφορία της συλλογής "To Chase the Stars" από την InsideOut Music. Αναμένεται τον επόμενο μήνα (12 Ιουλίου 2024) σε διπλό βινύλιο και θα περιλαμβάνει το ομώνυμο demo του 1989 συν το demo των Aslan, ενώ το δεύτερο βινύλιο θα αποτελείται από εννέα τραγούδια των Psychotic Waltz από πρόβα τους το 1988.
Στην παρούσα ανάρτηση θα εστιάσουμε στον τέταρτο "ολοκληρωμένο" δίσκο τους. Το album "Bleeding" κυκλοφόρησε τον Ιούλιο του 1996 κι αποτελεί το αγαπημένο μου, πιθανότατα γιατί ήταν το πρώτο που άκουσα από τους Waltz.
Προ ημερών (31 Μαΐου 2024) ο δίσκος επανακυκλοφόρησε από την InsideOut Music σε διπλό cd και διπλό βινύλιο με μπόλικα καλούδια (demos, live tracks κλπ). Για το (αριστουργηματικό) τραγούδι "Locust", του οποίου ένα ανεπίσημο lyric video σας παρουσιάζουμε σήμερα, τα λόγια περιττεύουν...
