Δύο χρόνια μετά την κυκλοφορία του (μυθικού) ντεμπούτου (1986) οι Crimson Glory εκπλήσσουν εκ νέου. "Transcendence" ο τίτλος του διαδόχου και "βγήκε" τον Νοέμβριο του 1988. Οι προθέσεις ξεκαθαρίζουν, το επικό στοιχείο του πρώτου δίσκου αποκτά στόχευση και εμπλουτίζεται με προοδευτική αντίληψη, "ουράνιες" ατμόσφαιρες κι έναν ιδιότυπο λυρισμό. Τεχνοκρατικό ως προς την μουσική (σύνθεση - ενορχήστρωση - εκτελέσεις), υπερβατικά ρομαντικό ως προς τις φωνητικές ερμηνείες.

In 2006, Black Lotus Records announced a plan to release a remastered version with a new name, "Transcendence: Renovatio".
This was rumoured to feature new cover art, two bonus tracks and more, but Black Lotus ceased operations shortly thereafter and it was never released.»
