Μισό αιώνα πίσω μας γυρίζει το τραγούδι των Queen "Ogre Battle" (το οποίο θεωρείται ως ένα από τα "βαρύτερα" του συγκροτήματος). Αποτέλεσε μέρος του δεύτερου δίσκου της Βρετανικής μπάντας ("Queen II") που κυκλοφόρησε τον Μάρτιο του 1974 (το πρώτο τραγούδι της δεύτερης πλευράς του βινυλίου).

Αποτελεί (αποκλειστική) δημιουργία (μουσική και στίχοι) του Freddie Mercury. Ο Freddie το συνέθεσε (σε κιθάρα) το 1971. Μία πρώιμη μορφή του "Ogre Battle" ηχογραφήθηκε από τους Queen τον Δεκέμβριο του 1973 για λογαριασμό ραδιοφωνικής εκπομπής του BBC (Sound of the 70s), αλλά σήμερα θα σταθούμε στην απόδοση της μπάντας στο Rainbow Theatre του Λονδίνου το 1974.

Υπενθυμίζουμε ότι προ δεκαετίας (8 Σεπτεμβρίου 2014) κυκλοφόρησε (σε cd, βινύλιο, dvd και blu-ray) ο "ζωντανά" ηχογραφημένος δίσκος των Queen "Live at the Rainbow '74"...
