Týr - 'Row' (official visualizer)

Row, row, row, row

Lads, you two come with me
We’ll set out to sea
Take my advice on
Handlines and the catch
High waves we will ride
That westerly tide
Foreboding skies on the horizon

Rowing this never ending ocean
Growing despair keeps me in motion
Oars groan as waves grow ever stronger
Boards moan, we won’t keep up much longer

In this gale
All to no avail
On and on we sail

Through rain, wind and waves
Myself and the knaves
Foresee a cursed night
Shoreless is our woe
The waves beat our prow
But I will not bow
And lose this worst fight
Till the first light

Rowing this never ending ocean
Growing despair keeps me in motion
Oars groan as waves grow ever stronger
Boards moan, we won’t keep up much longer

In this gale
All to no avail
On and on we sail
Fighting tooth and nail
Longer in this gale

One whole day and night he rows
Strokes unyielding he bestows
Upon the lads all hope forlorn
His only vow to brave the storm

Rowing this never ending ocean
Growing despair keeps me in motion
Oars groan as waves grow ever stronger
Boards moan, we won’t keep up much longer
Rowing this slowly calming ocean
Knowing that I gave my devotion

To the best
That’s my final quest
Lay me down to rest

Týr - 'Battle Ballads'

Δελτίο τύπου: «The follow-up to the band's 2019's powerful progressive folk-metal album 'Hel', the new 'Battle Ballads' is aptly named - a crushing, soaring, batch of classical embellished songs that conjure images of galloping steeds, clashing swords, and hard-fought victories.

And, as if it needs to be stated, the title 'Battle Ballads' has nothing in common with the lighter-raising songs so prevalent in the 1980s.

"There are definitely two versions of a ballad", clarifies Joensen.

"A lot of people think of hair metal, when they think of ballads. We are looking at ballads here in the Medieval sense.

Apart from a couple of softer parts on the album, this is very much straight heavy metal with some folk and classical influences.

I'm not sure what exactly one would call it - power metal, Viking metal, folk metal. It still fits in very much with what we do, only it feels bigger and more like these big soundscapes.
