Οι Mortemia είναι το προσωπικό μουσικό σχήμα του Morten Veland. Πρόκειται για τον δημιουργό των Tristania και (αργότερα, όταν έφυγε από τους Tristania) των Sirenia. Το ντεμπούτο των Mortemia, υπό τον τίτλο "Misere Mortem" κυκλοφόρησε το 2010 από την Napalm Records.

Ο διάδοχός του ("The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions") "βγήκε" πρόπερσι (7 Οκτωβρίου 2022) και ο τρίτος είναι προ των πυλών. Φέρει τον τίτλο "The Covid Aftermath Sessions", χωρίς να έχει γνωστοποιηθεί (ακόμη) ημερομηνία κυκλοφορίας και το έδαφος προετοιμάζει μία σειρά από singles. Μεταξύ αυτών και η διασκευή στην μεγάλη disco επιτυχία της δεκαετίας του ογδόντα "Samurai" του Michael Cretu.

Ο Morten Veland έχει αναλάβει όλα του μουσικά όργανα συν το τεχνικό μέρος (παραγωγή, μίξη κλπ), ενώ στα φωνητικά ακούμε την Βραζιλιάνα τραγουδίστρια (που μένει μόνιμα στην Γερμανία την τελευταία οκταετία) Marina La Torraca, την οποία γνωρίζουμε από την παρουσία της στους Exit Eden και στους Phantom Elite...
