Βουτιά στο παρελθόν. Τέσσερις δεκαετίες πίσω. Την άνοιξη του 1984 κυκλοφορούσε ο πλέον επιτυχημένος δίσκος των Chicago υπό τον τίτλο "Chicago 17" (κατά βάση έτσι ονομάτιζαν τους δίσκους τους) και ένα από πλέον γνωστά τραγούδια της Αμερικάνικης μπάντας, το "Stay the Night". Αν δεν με απατά η μνήμη πρέπει να ήταν το πρώτο τους τραγούδι που άκουσα.

Στο μουσικό βίντεο ο Peter Cetera προσπαθεί να "ρίξει" την Ingrid Anderson και κάνει ότι μπορεί (κυριολεκτικά), αλλά η κυρία του το "παίζει δίσκολη" και τον... ταλαιπωρεί! Οι Chicago δημιουργήθηκαν (μαντέψτε που) το μακρινό 1967 (αρχικά ως The Big Thing, εν συνεχεία ως The Chicago Transit Authority κι από το 1969 ως Chicago) και συνεχίζουν ακάθεκτοι μέχρι τις ημέρες μας.

Στην "πλούσια" δισκογραφία τους βρίσκουμε 39 δίσκους συν έξι live albums, εννέα συλλογές και έναν... τεράστιο αριθμό από singles. Στο τραγούδι "Stay The Night" την μουσική και τους στίχους "υπογράφουν οι Peter Cetera, David Foster. Τραγουδά ο Peter Cetera, ενώ στα τύμπανα ακούμε τον Jeff Porcaro (παρότι δεν αναφέρεται στον δίσκο) αντί για τον drummer της μπάντας Danny Seraphine.
