Τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2001 οι Saxon έκαναν δισκογραφικό "ποδαρικό" στην νέα δεκαετία - αιώνα - χιλιετία με τον (εξαιρετικό) δίσκο "Killing Ground" ("Dragon's Lair" και τα μυαλά στο μίξερ, άσε την διασκευάρα στο "The Court of the Crimson King" των King Crimson). Η limited edition του δίσκου περιλάμβανε και ένα δεύτερο cd υπό τον τίτλο "Classics Re-recorded" και αφορούσε σε επανεκτελέσεις κλασικών τραγουδιών του Βρετανικού σχήματος. Ανάμεσά τους και ο ύμνος "Princess of the Night", το οποίο πρωτογνωρίσαμε στον δίσκο της Βρετανικής μπάντας "Denim and Leather" (το εναρκτήριο κομμάτι) που κυκλοφόρησε το μακρινό 1981...
