Η Tarja Turunen (ή Tarja Soile Susanna Turunen Cabuli όπως είναι το πλήρες ονοματεπώνυμό της) έγινε γνωστή λόγω της παρουσίας της στους Nightwish, στους οποίους ήταν μέλος (τραγουδίστρια) από το 1996 έως και το 2005.

Μετά το "διαζύγιό" της με τους Φινλανδούς metallers ασχολείται κυρίως με την προσωπική της καριέρα έχοντας κυκλοφορήσει εννέα full length albums, τέσσερα EPs, έξι live albums, μπόλικα singles και δύο συλλογές.

Τον Μάιο του 2015 κυκλοφορούσε ο "ζωντανός" δίσκος της Φινλανδής τραγουδίστριας υπό τον τίτλο "Luna Park Ride", το οποίο αφορούσε την ηχογράφηση - φιλμογράφηση στο στάδιο Luna Park του Μπουένος Άιρες στις 27 Μαρτίου 2011 στο πλαίσιο της περιοδείας "“What Lies Beneath World Tour 2011"...
