Serenity - 'Reflections (of AD)' (official music video)
I keep staring at the mirror
I see a painting of myself
Of a man that grew from silent crying
To someone who broke the shell
What's the reason I am who I am?
All the things that I've shared with this world
Will they remain until the last days of the earth?
Just as stars forever light the universe
I've made this journey without sorrow
So there is nothing left to try
Even if I die tomorrow
There's no reason left to cry
I made steps becoming myself
I've opened gates into a new world
To remain until the last days of the earth
Just as stars forever light the universe
Never give up till everything's right
Never show mercy if there's something to fight
Never stop feelings if you don't feel fine
Don't sacrifice
Never say never to changes in life
Never stop tears if there's something to cry
Never stay lonely love should not denied
Don't sacrifice
Once my final day is coming
But my works will never die
I made steps becoming myself
I've opened gates into a new world
To remain until the last days of the earth
Just as stars forever light the universe
Never give up till everything's right
Never show mercy if there's something to fight
Never stop feelings if you don't feel fine
Don't sacrifice
Never say never to changes in life
Never stop tears if there's something to cry
Never stay lonely love should not denied
Don't sacrifice
With my mind I've made the world to change
With my eyes I've shown you a new way
Nothing will stay the same
Nothing will stay the same
Nothing will stay the same
With these hands I've drawn the truth of men
With my sign the world will know my name
Nothing will stay the same
Nothing will stay the same
Nothing will stay the same
I see my future with shadows and lights
Nothing will stay the same
Nothing will stay the same
I traveled the world searching answers and signs
Nothing will stay the same
Nothing will stay the same
But the memories remain
Now the moments are gone
And nothing's behind
The secrets of time
Losing my mind
Forever as one
Like stardust near the sun
A way to survive
With a legacy of pride
Now the moments are gone
And nothing's behind
The secrets of time
Don't sacrifice
Back then I was blind
But now I can see
The meaning of life
To remain until the last days of the earth
Just as stars forever light the universe
Never give up till everything's right
Never show mercy if there's something to fight
Never stop feelings if you don't feel fine
Don't sacrifice
Never say never to changes in life
Never stop tears if there's something to cry
Never stay lonely love should not denied
Don't sacrifice

«This song is, without any doubt, the most bombastic track we have ever released! We poured all our passion and musical skills into it to create this over 8 minute long magnum opus. For the single release, we had to create a shortened version, but we encourage all our listeners to check out the album version in order to experience this magnificent piece of art in its wholesome beauty.»

Δελτίο τύπου: «Symphonic metal powerhouse Serenity unleash their new studio album, Nemesis AD!
The successor to their previous full length, The Last Knight (2020), which landed #25 on the German album charts, is out on October 27, 2023 via Napalm Records and is the first record with Marco Pastorino (Temperance) as additional guitarist and backing vocalist.
Known for their thematic albums inspired by historic characters and stories of the past, on Nemesis AD, Serenity draw inspiration from the life and highly influential art of painter Albrecht Dürer of the German renaissance.
Grandiose intro track “Memoriae Alberti Dureri” sets the scene for the album, before legendary singer Roy Khan (Conception, ex-Kamelot) lends his impressive vocals on the mighty “The Fall of Man”.
"Ritter, Tod und Teufel (Knightfall)” (named after Dürer’s famous artwork) features lyrics sung partially in German, for the first time in the band’s history spanning over more than two decades.
The powerful track showcases Serenity’s signature blend of orchestral arrangements, heavy guitar riffs, and soaring vocals.
Heart-wrenchingly emotional yet empowering “Reflections (of AD)” mesmerizes the listener with its awe-inspiring instrumentation, multifaceted vocals and brilliant changes throughout the gripping eight-minute track.
Theatrical “Sun of Justice” leads the listener to a faraway fantasy world while the vocal performance of skilled singer Georg Neuhauser ultimately unlocks the track's hit potential.
“The End of Babylon” represents one of the darker, heavier tracks on Nemesis AD - climactic arrangements carry the dramatic storyline.
Monumental orchestral version of “The Fall of Man” closes the album on a thrilling note that is sure to send a chill up your spine.
With Nemesis AD, Serenity add yet another bombastic symphonic metal masterpiece to their notable discography - there is no doubt that the talented unit’s standing in the scene is well deserved. »
