Το μακρινό 1978 σχηματίσθηκαν οι Blind Illusion. Χαρακτηρίστηκαν ως Tech ή Prog Thrash Metal, αν και θεωρώ ότι ο μουσικός όρος Thrash λειτουργεί περιοριστικά (τουλάχιστον σε αυτούς που δεν τους έχουν ακούσει).

Η μπάντα έκανε υπομονή δέκα ετών ("βγάζοντας" έξι demos) για να δει το ντεμπούτο της σε κυκλοφορία. "The Sane Asylum" ο τίτλος, 1988 το έτος κυκλοφορίας του δίσκου. Ακολούθησε ένα ακόμη demo (το 1989) για να διαλυθούν οι Blind Illusion το 1992 και να επιστρέψουν το 2009 συνεχίζοντας μέχρι τις ημέρες μας.

Ένα ep, δύο singles, δύο full length albums ("Demon Master" 2010, "Wrath of the Gods" 2022) και δύο συλλογές ο δισκογραφικός απολογισμός της επανασύνδεσής τους. Από την παλαιά φρουρά του συγκροτήματος έχει απομείνει ο Marc Biedermann (είναι και ο πυρήνας της μπάντας εξάλλου). Εστιάζουμε στο ντεμπούτο τους και ακούμε το τραγούδι "Blood Shower"...
