Ο δίσκος των Whitesnake "The Purple Album" κυκλοφόρησε τον Μάιο του 2015 και (όπως μαρτυρά ο τίτλος του) αφορά σε διασκευές - επανεκτελέσεις τραγουδιών των Deep Purple την περίοδο που ήταν ο David Coverdale στο μικρόφωνο της θρυλικής μπάντας (1973-1976). Παρακολουθούμε το βίντεο με την προσέγγιση των Whitesnake σε ένα από τα ωραιότερα τραγούδια των 70s (κι όχι μόνο), το "Burn". Πρόκειται για το μουσικό κομμάτι που "ανοίγει" τον ομότιτλο δίσκο των Deep Purple, ο οποίος κυκλοφόρησε τον Φεβρουάριο του 1974.

Το τραγούδι ηχογραφήθηκε στο Μοντρέ της Ελβετίας τον Νοέμβριο του 1973. Την μουσική έγραψε ο Richie Blackmore και τους στίχους ο David Coverdale, ο οποίος είχε δηλώσει πως έγραψε επτά διαφορετικές εκδοχές πριν κάνει την τελική επιλογή. Το "Burn" κυκλοφόρησε και αυτόνομα, ως single (7").
