Το μακρινό 1988 δημιουργήθηκαν οι Age of Fire. Συγκρότημα Αμερικάνικου heavy / thrash metal ύφους, το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε το ομώνυμο (και αυτοχρηματοδοτούμενο) ντεμπούτο του την ίδια χρονιά. Δύο έτη αργότερα μετονομάσθηκαν σε The Village Idiots, αλλάζοντας και το μουσικό τους ύφος (σε πιο progressive μονοπάτια).
Η αλλαγή κράτησε δύο χρόνια και μετά την κυκλοφορία ενός demo (το 1991) η μπάντα διαλύθηκε. Οι Age of Fire επανήλθαν δριμύτεροι προ πενταετίας. Ο Greg Brown (μόνο πλέον μέλος από την αρχική σύνθεση) επανέφερε την μπάντα με (δύο) νέα μέλη.
Το ντεμπούτο επανακυκλοφόρησε, "βγήκε" δεύτερος δίσκος υπό τον τίτλο "Obsidian Dreams" (το 2019) και τρίτος ("Shades Of Shadow" 2020), ενώ πέρυσι κυκλοφόρησε το ep τεσσάρων τραγουδιών "Through the Tempest". Από εκεί και το (εναρκτήριο) τραγούδι "Children of the Night", το lyric video του οποίου σας παρουσιάζουμε σήμερα με τους Age of Fire να μας λένε σχετικά:
«This song refers to the reference to the wolves in Dracula. This story in the song is about the power vacuum that occurs when Dracula goes to London and the wolves (in this case werewolves) take over. I this first two verses the character of the song is fearful of the werewolves but by the end they become one.»

Δελτίο τύπου: «Formed in South Florida in 1988, Age of Fire set out to create their own style of Heavy Metal. To date, they have music that touches on thrash, symphonic, melodic and progressive metal.
Having played clubs throughout the East Coast and Florida, they disbanded in 1991 but were resurrected by founding member Greg Brown in 2018. Since then, their music has been heard on over 1,000 traditional and satellite radio stations around the world.»
