Ο δίσκος "Rock the Nations" αποτέλεσε τον διάδοχο του "Innocence Is No Excuse" και το όγδοο full length album των Saxon. Κυκλοφόρησε το φθινόπωρο του 1986 και δεν είχε ουσιαστικά κάτι να προσθέσει στον μύθο της Βρετανικής μπάντας (με εξαίρεση πιθανά το τραγούδι "Battle Cry").
