Sorcery - 'Whales' (official audio)

Η σειρά "Scrap Metal" αποτελεί -υπό μία έννοια- την άλλη πλευρά (του νομίσματος) της σειράς "Brown Acid". Όταν η δισκογραφική εταιρεία RidingEasy Records συγκέντρωνε "χαμένα", σπάνια ή ακυκλοφόρητα τραγούδια proto-metal και heavy rock συγκροτημάτων από τις δεκαετίες εξήντα και εβδομήντα, είδε ότι "διαμαντάκια" του παρελθόντος έμεναν εκτός των συλλογών επειδή το μουσικό τους ύφος δεν ταίριαζε.

Και κάπου εκεί γεννήθηκε γεννήθηκε η σκέψη για μία σειρά συλλογών σε πιο metal μουσικά μονοπάτια. Και εγένετο "Scrap Metal". Το πρώτο μέρος κυκλοφόρησε πρόπερσι, το φθινόπωρο του 2021, ενώ το δεύτερο μέρος "βγήκε" προ ημερών. Ακούμε το τραγούδι των Sorcery "Whales", με την RidingEasy Records να μας λέει σχετικά:

By now, all you heads know Los Angeles magic men Sorcery from their storied appearance in -and soundtrack for- the death-defying Ozploitation flick Stunt Rock. What we have here in “Whales” is a previously unreleased track from the same 1978 recording sessions. It’s a little bit Zeppelin, a little bit prog, and a whole lotta thundering riffage. Why this languished in the vaults for so long is anyone’s guess. Better late than never!
