Bathory - 'Hammerheart' (official audio - remastered)

Η επική "στροφή" στον ήχο των Bathory με τον δίσκο "Blood Fire Death" (Οκτώβριος 1988) απέκτησε μεγαλύτερη στόχευση με το album "Hammerheart" που κυκλοφόρησε την άνοιξη του 1990 και η τριλογία ολοκληρώθηκε με το "Twilight of the Gods" που "βγήκε" το καλοκαίρι του 1991.

Με την συγκεκριμένη τριλογία οι Bathory επαναπροσδιόρισαν την επική "μεταλλική" τέχνη. Υπό την έννοια ότι την έφεραν σε άμεση αισθητική επαφή με το Ευρωπαϊκό συλλογικό ασυνείδητο.

Αν δεν υπήρχε το epic metal θα το είχαν ανακαλύψει οι Bathory. Το... παράδοξο είναι πως το τραγούδι "Hammerheart" δεν το απαντάμε στον ομότιτλο δίσκο (όπως θα ήταν το λογικό και αναμενόμενο), αλλά στον επόμενο, "Twilight of the Gods", (βλ. το επιλογικό μουσικό κομμάτι).

Η βασική μελωδία του "Twilight of the Gods" προέρχεται από το έργο "Οι Πλανήτες" του Άγγλου μουσικού συνθέτη (και δασκάλου μουσικής) Gustav Theodore Holst και ειδικότερα από το τέταρτο μέρος με τίτλο "Ζευς"...
