Ο Paul Bruce Dickinson είναι ενεργός μουσικά από το δεύτερο μισό της δεκαετίας του εβδομήντα [βλ. Styx (όχι η γνωστή μπάντα), Speed, Shots]. Τα πρώτα "ψήγματα" αναγνωρισιμότητας τα αποκτά μέσω των Samson στους οποίους διατέλεσε τραγουδιστής από το 1979 έως το 1981.

Η υφήλιος όμως τον έμαθε ως την φωνή των Iron Maiden. Παράλληλα από το 1989 "τρέχει" και την προσωπική του καριέρα, στην οποία αφοσιώθηκε πλήρως από το 1993 όταν αποχώρησε από τους Maiden (για να επιστρέψει έξι χρόνια αργότερα).

Το τραγούδι "Man Of Sorrows" το γνωρίσαμε ως μέρος του δίσκου "Accident of Birth" που κυκλοφόρησε το 1997, ενώ "βγήκε" και αυτόνομα ως EP / Single. Η αρχική - demo έκδοση του τραγουδιού (στην οποία ακούμε τον Janick Gers στην κιθάρα) μας γυρίζει πίσω στο 1990 και στις ηχογραφήσεις του album "Tattoed Millionaire" και την βρίσκουμε - ακούμε στην συλλογή "The Best of Bruce Dickinson" που κυκλοφόρησε τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2001.
