Το καλοκαίρι του 1996 κυκλοφορούσε ο δίσκος των Therion "Theli" και προκάλεσε "θόρυβο". Δεν ήταν τόσο τα κλασικιστικά στοιχεία στην μουσική τους (αυτά υπάρχουν στον hard / heavy χώρο από την δεκαετία του εβδομήντα), όσο στα οπερετικά φωνητικά που δεν είχαν δευτερεύων - συμπληρωματικό ρόλο (πχ στα ρεφρέν), αλλά πρωταγωνιστικό!

Υπό αυτή την έννοια (και όχι μόνο) το album "Theli" σφράγισε μία εποχή και δημιούργησε νέους μουσικούς δρόμους στην "σκληρή" μουσική. Ο δίσκος γνώρισε αρκετές επανεκδόσεις. Η πλέον πρόσφατη είναι το διπλό βινύλιο της Napalm Records που "βγήκε" το περασμένο καλοκαίρι (24 Ιουνίου 2022). Η επόμενη είναι... αύριο (9 Σεπτεμβρίου 2022) από την Hammerheart Records σε cd...
