Moonspell - 'Apophthegmata' (Live 80 Meters Deep)
The future's so near
Away from the past
Time to let it happen
The torch in your hand
The desert's so vast
That you must find your place
To hide from the crowds
Find peace without end
A house with no windows
No light breaking in
A house built just for one
Away from the sun
Hear the word
Oh! Let it burn
Take me home and hold me as we fall
Keep me safe from harm
So long ago, not far away
Upon an altar of dirt
Oh! Hear the voices!
Let them burn!
There's nothing new under the sun
All that he built,
His kingdom of truth
Watch it turn to dust
His masterwork
So long ago, not far away
Upon an altar of dirt
Oh! Hear the voices!
Let them burn!
There's nothing new under the sun

Τον δεύτερο "ζωντανά" ηχογραφημένο δίσκο της τριαντακονταετούς καριέρας τους ετοιμάζονται να κυκλοφορήσουν οι Moonspell. Φέρει τον τίτλο "From Down Below - Live 80 Meters Deep", ηχογραφήθηκε - φιλμογραφήθηκε ογδόντα (80) μέτρα κάτω από την γη (στο σπήλαιο της Πορτογαλίας Grutas de Mira D'Aire) και αναμένεται... αύριο.
Fernando Ribeiro (about the song): «Apophthegmata is a Greek word that defines a collection of texts, a book with the most important lessons and revelations of the Desert Fathers, the kings of Hermits. They stood in the darkness to enlighten themselves and often brought their conclusions of peace and wisdom to their restless and suffering communities. This sing stands for exactly that, musically speaking: a game of light and shadow, a bridge between fragility and strength. It quickly became a must on our setlist and a fan favourite of the Hermitage album. Enjoy the light, learn with the darkness, be kind to yourself so you can be kind to others.
Fernando Ribeiro (about the album): «While the world agonized at home, we went deep down below, to a cave to record a DVD with some of our bravest fans watching it. Entitlement is the first advance of an unreal show, a performance like you’ve never watched, in the peace and quiet of a wet and dark natural gallery. From deep down below, our new live album and DVD is something never tried before and we hope it darkly entertains you until our next album comes in 2023.»
