Το μακρινό 1966 ο Rory Gallagher δημιουργούσε τους Taste. Η μπάντα έμεινε ενεργή μέχρι το 1970, χρονιά στην οποία διαλύθηκε. (Επανήλθε το 1996 χωρίς τον Rory, αλλά αυτό είναι μία άλλη ιστορία). Ο Rory Gallagher ξεκίνησε προσωπική καριέρα με πρώτο δίσκο το ομώνυμο album το 1971.

Τρία χρόνια αργότερα "έβγαλε" το "Irish Tour '74". Η ηχογράφηση έγινε στις 29 Δεκεμβρίου 1973 στο Μπέλφαστ, στις 31 Δεκεμβρίου και την πρωτοχρονιά του 1974 στο Δουβλίνο και στις 5 Ιανουαρίου στο Κορκ.

Ανάμεσα στα τραγούδια του δίσκου βρίσκεται και ένα από τα πιο αναγνωρίσιμα όχι μόνο του Rory, αλλά και ολάκερης της δεκαετίας. Πρόκειται για το "Tattoo'd Lady", το οποίο σας παρουσιάζουμε σήμερα. Πριν από ένδεκα χρόνια, τον Απρίλιο του 2011, το "Irish Tour '74" κυκλοφόρησε και σε "οπτική" μορφή, DVD και Blu-ray...
