Desert Near The End - 'Rise For Dominion' (official lyric video)
I look deep in myself and I see
The man I used to be
This pain tears my soul
The anger boils my blood
Is this reality?
A dream forever
Or just a cold dream
The dead may see
In their eternal sleep?
A part of me remains
But I am no more
I’m alive my love,
I can feel your shadow everywhere
I am the Reaper and Death is my shadow
I came from nowhere
Without a name
This is my task
I bring you evil
Vengeance and War
From the Gods Underground
The hand of Fate itself
Trapped in a flesh cage
My spirit fails
Walls made of lies
As I lay there alone
The wolf in Man
The chosen one
When Ares sound his horn
It’s time to hunt
Then she lay beside me
Fire and autumn leaves
Changing my mind and dreams.
I am the Reaper and Death is my shadow
I came from nowhere
Without a name
Rise as their son
For glory and power
Rise for dominion
Honors to take
The sword of Mars itself

Ο πέμπτος "ολοκληρωμένος" δίσκος των Desert Near The End. Φέρει τον τίτλο "The Dawning of the Son" και "βγήκε" προ μηνός. Λεπτομέρειες μας δίνει το δελτίο τύπου:
«"Dawning of the Son" is the fifth chapter of the ongoing history of Desert Near The End. Recordings took place during the unprecedented situation that the world faced, concerning the Corona Virus in 2020, and it may be their most important album to date.
Born in a very difficult and uncertain time for the band, it served as a test, a testament and anchor at the same time. For the first time Akis recorded, apart from the bass guitar, all the guitars too! Except of course the guitar solos which were handled by Panos.
Musically it's a direct successor to their previous album but more grand in every aspect: It combines the more melodic approach of "Of Fire and Stars" with the wall of sound and the ferocity of "Theater of War". It is an Extreme Epic Power Thrash album and at the same time, more genre free than ever. No more influences.
This one is more Desert Near The End than ever before. Lyrically its inspiration derives from Pierce Brown's first trilogy of “The Red Rising” saga, combined with their own thoughts, stories and the belief of the most difficult but completely true fact, that by changing one life you can change the world. The band's concept was successfully depicted by Panagiotis Vlamis, artwork creator of "Theater of War".»
