Το "Seek & Destroy" είναι από τα πλέον ιστορικά τραγούδια στην ιστορία του heavy metal υπό την έννοια ότι ήταν το πρώτο που ηχογράφησαν στο στούντιο οι Metallica. Το συναντάμε τόσο στο ντεμπούτο τους ("Kill 'Em All") που κυκλοφόρησε το καλοκαίρι του 1983, όσο και στο demo "No Life 'til Leather" που "βγήκε" έναν χρόνο νωρίτερα.
