Οι Eldritch υπάρχουν στο "κουρμπέτι" 31 χρόνια [συν τρία αν συνυπολογίσουμε την προγενέστερη μορφή τους (Zeus)], πήραν το όνομά τους από τίτλο τραγουδιού των Watchtower και ιδιαίτερα οι τρεις πρώτοι τους δίσκοι ("Seeds of Rage" 1995, "Headquake" 1997, "El Niño" 1998) ανήκουν στους κορυφαίους της δεκαετίας (κι όχι μόνο). Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει συνολικά δώδεκα "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους με πλέον πρόσφατο το album "Eos", το οποίο "βγήκε" τον περασμένο Νοέμβρη...

Ο τίτλος του δίσκου ("EOS") αποτελεί ευθεία αναφορά στην Ελληνική μυθολογία και την θεά Ηώ (Ηώς, στα αρχαία Έως ή Αύως). Στην Ελληνική Μυθολογία ήταν η θεότητα - προσωποποίηση της αυγής, κόρης του Τιτάνα Υπερίωνα και της Τιτανίδας Θείας, αδελφή του Ηλίου (του οποίου προηγείται κάθε μέρα στο ουράνιο ταξίδι του) και της Σελήνης. Σύμφωνα με μία άλλη παράδοση ήταν κόρη της Ευρυφάεσσας (χαρακτηριστικό επίθετο της Ηούς) ή του Ηλίου (γενόμενος πατέρας εξ' αδελφού) και της Ευφροσύνης (άλλο όνομα της Νύκτας).
