«Iceland has such a great representation of extreme metal. We didn’t feel we had much to add to that scene so why shouldn’t we do the complete opposite?» αναρωτήθηκαν κάποιοι μουσικοί στην Ισλανδία προ τετραετίας και δημιούργησαν τους Power Paladin, οι οποίοι μας παρουσιάζονται κάπως έτσι:
«Imagine deserted volcanic wasteland, freezing winds and the all-embracing darkness of the longest winters on this planet: The obvious inspiration for rather vicious and somber tunes for lonely evening hours that the biggest part of Iceland’s heavy music scene is known for.
Who would even dare to think of tales about brave warriors and mystical creatures coming from such an island? Power metal seemed like a fairytale until 2017 when Reykjavík based sextet Power Paladin (originally founded as Paladin) rose in quest of carrying out their uplifting tunes and finally proving everyone wrong. On an island known for its musical doom and gloom, they are the midnight sun.»

It’s quite a fitting debut for such an unparalleled catchy tune, which is in no way inferior to the full-length debut album, euphonically entitled “With The Magic Of Windfyre Steel”.
The band offers up hyper-melodic, fast, but always catchy Power Metal, all of the above reflecting one main topic: fun! Recorded in the summer of 2020, the nine numbers will finally be revealed to the metal community that has gained an absolute highlight. Power Paladin undoubtedly holds the future!»
Power Paladin: «In a land of ancient prophecies and magic, torn asunder by eons of war and hardship. Our heroes venture forth, mourning the loss of their emperor king, as they search for the dark crystal to bring back balance to the realm.
But in order to succeed they must survive the onslaught from the kingdom of the elves and wizards wielding foul and dark magic. These last weeks since our album release have been one big uplifting, flattering and in many ways humbling experience.
When we started out recording this album our first idea was to cast it out to the cosmos via Spotify and YouTube and maybe create vinyls for all the members in the band.
Seeing all these positive (and negative, it’s amazing even just to be acknowledged) reactions from press, listeners and charts makes us beyond grateful to both the people that did all the amazing work putting this out there and the people who tossed their hard earned coins to buying this album.
