Μία... ενδεκάδα full length albums θα συμπληρώσουν τον Μάρτιο του νέου έτους οι Sabaton. "The War to End All Wars" ο τίτλος του διαδόχου του "The Great War" που κυκλοφόρησε πρόπερσι. Ανάμεσα στα ένδεκα τραγούδια του δίσκου υπάρχει κι ένα ("Christmas Truce") που αναφέρεται στα Χριστούγεννα. Και ποια η καταλληλότερη περίοδος για να κυκλοφορήσει ως single; Στη σημερινή ανάρτηση θα παρακολουθήσουμε το (animated) βίντεο με την ιστορία που ενέπνευσε το τραγούδι. Πρόκειται για την περιβότητη "Ανακωχή των Χριστουγέννων".

Παραμονή Χριστουγέννων 1914. Στα πεδίο μάχης στην περιοχή Ιπρέ του Βελγίου οι Γερμανοί στρατιώτες αρχίζουν να... στολίζουν το δικό τους χαράκωμα. Ανάβουν κεριά και αρχίζουν να τραγουδούν Χριστουγεννιάτικα τραγούδια. Οι Άγγλοι στρατιώτες απαντούν με τον ίδιο τρόπο. Κάποιος έκανε το μεγάλο βήμα να ξεμυτίσει από το χαράκωμα. Κάπως έτσι (εν συντομία) επήλθε η "Ανακωχή των Χριστουγέννων" (κόντρα στις ηγεσίες των δύο χωρών), η οποία κορυφώθηκε με.... ποδοσφαιρικό αγώνα. Οι δύο πλευρές γιόρτασαν τα Χριστούγεννα, χαλάρωσαν κάποιες ώρες από την ένταση του πολέμου και... επανήλθαν στο καθήκον...
