Motörhead - "Burner" (Live in Madrid 1995)
Riots in the burning street
Crystal Night outside
Brutal music in the night
Enough to make you cry
Nobody knows how
It is to scream
And drown the world
I am the midnight snake
To bite you little girls
Outside in the distance
The city in the fire
See the houses burning down
Mile after mile
I don't think you know
About your future yet
I don't think you're gonna like
The one you're gonna get
Ghost rider in the sky
Burner
Lights outside my window
Victims on the floor
Rats in all the bedrooms
Thunder at the door
Nobody knows anything
Kill and wear a smile
Here come the pirates, baby
Don't you touch that dial
You ain't gonna hurt me
You won't put me down
This ain't no circus and
I sure don't need no clowns
I will be the one you can't be
I will see the things that you can't see
Demons blind your eyes
Burner
Beat me like a hammer, baby
Stick me like a pig
Throw me to the lions, honey
Wear me like a wig
I am not the only one
To walk into the fire
I would rather burn
Than let them make me be a liar
I cannot be beaten,
I cannot be like you
I cannot be otherwise
No matter what you do
I am the voice of broken glass
I am the voice to drive you mad at last
I am the truth, the liar turned around
Burner, burner, burner
Burner anyway

Νέα σειρά από "ζωντανές" ηχογραφήσεις κυκλοφορούν οι Motörhead. Φέρει τον τίτλο "The Löst Tapes" με το πρώτο μέρος "The Löst Tapes Vol. 1 (Live in Madrid 1995)" να έχει "βγει" ήδη.
Remember those? Those things with the dual spools and loads of wide brown plastic recording string that’d occasionally unravel and hang out of the shell, requiring a pencil and firm wrist to spin back into place?
Yeah, well, once upon a time, old-school sound systems contained cassette decks for the express purpose of recording shows, and these “cassette” things were a standard part of every tour. Motörhead were certainly no exception, recording show after show.
They contain gold, pure aural gold, and had for many years sat hundreds of feet underground in a small cave Lemmy owned, guarded by small, hairy centurions in Roman armor with small spears and bad attitudes.
Only the magic password would release them, and thankfully, Lem had scribbled it down and left it inside an old sketch book for us (no, were won’t tell you the password, although it did have the words ’nie nie nie’ in it).
There were loads of the dirty, dusty, greasy little buggers gathered, with the likes of Lyon, Liverpool, Hamburg and Chippenham (!!) scrawled in biro on the tiny labels alongside a date... and thus we are delighted to announce that this unique collection of live gems will now be heard by the world, via carefully digitized transfers, in a new series of predominantly digital releases titled The Löst Tapes.
So here’s to The Löst Tapes... and we’d like to confirm, no diminutive Roman centurions were harmed in the procurement of these treasures! Volume one has been hand-picked by the increasingly deaf, but well-meaning (and hydrated!) Motörhead team, along with surviving members Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee, and sees the trio in blistering form on the Sacrifice album tour recorded at the Sala Aqualung in Madrid Spain on 1st June 1995.»
