Οι A Pale Horse Named Death δημιουργήθηκαν το 2010 από τον Sal Abruscato (εκ των ιδρυτικών μελών των Type O Negative). Η βάση τους είναι το doom, αλλά "προσθέτουν" κι άλλα μουσικά στοιχεία στον ήχο τους. Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει τρεις "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους (συν ένα ep).
