Με αφορμή τον προσωπικό δίσκο ("Rejoice In The Suffering") που κυκλοφόρησε προ διμήνου ο Todd La Torre ας θυμηθούμε μία φωνητική διασκευή που είχε επιχειρήσει πριν από εννέα χρόνια στον ύμνο των Deep Purple "Perfect Strangers".

"Perfect Strangers" ήταν (και) ο τίτλος του ενδέκατου άλμπουμ του θρυλικού συγκροτήματος Deep Purple. Κυκλοφόρησε στις 16 Σεπτεμβρίου του 1984 κι ήταν ο δίσκος της επιστροφής τους. Το εν λόγω τραγούδι, παρότι δεν περιέχει κιθαριστικό σόλο, χαρακτηρίστηκε από τον Ritchie Blackmore ως το αγαπημένο του κομμάτι.

Επειδή όμως τα πολλά λόγια (γραπτά ή προφορικά) είναι φτώχεια ας απολαύσουμε μία από τις καλύτερες φωνές που κυκλοφορούν εκεί έξω να ερμηνεύει ένα από τα ωραιότερα τραγούδια της δεκαετίας του ογδόντα. Ακούμε τον Todd La Torre σε φωνητικά και τύμπανα, τον Matt La Porte στην κιθάρα, τον Robyn Fisher στα πλήκτρα και τον Chet στα πλήκτρα...
