Ancient Empire - "Alone Against The Savage Hordes" (video)

Το βίντεο της σημερινής ανάρτησης είναι εξαιρετικά αφιερωμένο στους φίλους του Κόναν. Τόσο στην λογοτεχνική του μορφή (από τα έργα του Robert E. Howard κι όχι μόνο), όσο κι από την απεικόνισή του μέσω των κόμικς (κυρίως τις δημιουργίες των Thomas, Smith και Buscema).

Πρόκειται για το νέο τραγούδι των Ancient Empire ("Alone Against The Savage Hordes"), το οποίο προετοιμάζει το έδαφος για τον δίσκο "Priest Of Stygia". Η Αμερικάνικη μπάντα παρουσιάζει το τραγούδι και το βίντεο κάπως έτσι:

Ancient Empire: «Ok, I am going to beat Stormspell to the punch! Here is the new cover and track list. It is not a Conan concept record, although there are a few tunes about him on here.

One of my favorite fictional characters of all time. I started re-reading the original Howard stories and got inspired. (Along with Thomas / Smith / Buscema comics) There are other lyrical elements on this album as well. Musically, it is usual AE formula, I am old and stuck in my ways so don't expect a reinvention of the metal wheel.

But there are moments I tried to expand and change up a bit. Still easily identifiable as AE. Many solo's by Ced from Blazon/Rocka Rollas on here. With any luck I'll have him help me write a couple for the next effort to expand the canvas a bit.

I might even get more musicians to help out. A one man band is a lonely world. ; ) The cover is obviously Conan and Thoth-Amon, brilliantly painted by Alan Lathwell. Alan, you are a BEAST! \m/»
