Τον Οκτώβριο του 1980, κυκλοφόρησε (ως single, με το "Dirty Love" στην δεύτερη πλευρά του βινυλίου) το τραγούδι "Ace of Spades". Λίγες ημέρες αργότερα (αρχές Νοεμβρίου) και ο ομότιτλος δίσκος. Τα υπόλοιπα είναι heavy metal ιστορία. Από τις σημαντικότερες στιγμές στην καριέρα των Motörhead κι ένα από τα καλύτερα (και εμβληματικά) τραγούδια στην μυθολογία του heavy metal.

Ο θρυλικός δίσκος των Motörhead επανακυκλοφορεί ήδη (από τις 30 Οκτωβρίου) στην επέτειο των σαράντα ετών με μπόλικα καλούδια. Μεταξύ αυτών και μία (ακυκλοφόρητη) συναυλία της Βρετανικής μπάντας στο Whitla Hall του Μπέλφαστ της Βορείου Ιρλανδίας προπαραμονή Χριστουγέννων (23 Δεκεμβρίου) του μακρινού 1981...
