Witherfall - "The Last Scar" (visualizer video)
Wrapping my hands around your throat, so your empty words cannot escape
Trapping inside forever deception and the lies that have sealed your fate
And now you struggle to find your way out
Hiding scars, "knowing her mouth is a tomb"
Leaving behind the oppression of your mind
Her shifting eyes no longer aggressive as the color drains from her face
Leaving behind a life so pathetic
I told you I would make you pay
And through your anguish I find my way out
Is this remorse? "Knowing she could seal your doom."
Is it redemption to leave your lifeless... but still alive?
I saw the light and it burned
This is the last scar
You've crossed the line and I'll make you learn
I saw the light and it burned
You've given your last scar
I've suffered enough and now it's your turn
Running through mazes of insanity the chaotic logic of the co-dependent
I thought I had left you, thought I was rid of your curse
And still I struggle, is there no way out?
Am I condemned? "Knowing this house is my tomb"
Would you forgive me if I just end it tonight?
Lying in a pool of crimson starlight
Glimmers from above upon my head
The past comes rushing in
I will not let the terrors in...
I give myself to you upon this altar
It's the last scar

Εν αναμονή του τρίτου "ολοκληρωμένου" δίσκου των Witherfall οι Αμερικανοί metallers κυκλοφόρησαν single υπό τον τίτλο "The Last Scar"...
Witherfall: «This is a nice and happy one. It's heavily inspired by an evening on tour in the Czech Republic. It's possibly one of the most aggressive Witherfall songs and certainly a test of stamina for instrumentalists and voices.
During the recording, our producer Jon Schaffer really put us to the test on getting these final takes. Both Witherfall and our team at Century Media Records felt this song would be the perfect way to introduce our latest offspring Curse of Autumn. Like any other Witherfall record, this one is quite the storm. This is but the first gust of wind...»
Δελτίο τύπου: «Is there a better time of the year to dive headfirst into dark and progressive melodic metal than now?
While the shadows of winter are creeping up upon us and as the nights get longer, it's the perfect time to introduce Curse of Autumn, the upcoming album from L.A. band Witherfall.
The record is due out in March 2021 on Century Media Records. The album art is once again a hand-painted masterpiece by the legendary Kristian Wåhlin and is the fourth painting in the Witherfall series.»
