Cellar Stone - "Burn" (Deep Purple cover)
Cellar Stone: Αθηναϊκή heavy rock μπάντα, η οποία έχει κυκλοφορήσει έναν δίσκο ("One Fine Day", Μάιος 2020). Στην σημερινή ανάρτηση θα ασχοληθούμε με το βίντεο της διασκευής τους στον ύμνο των Deep Purple, "Burn". Πρόκειται για το κομμάτι που "ανοίγει" τον ομότιτλο δίσκο, ο οποίος κυκλοφόρησε τον Φεβρουάριο του 1974.
Το τραγούδι ηχογραφήθηκε στο Μοντρέ της Ελβετίας τον Νοέμβριο του 1973. Την μουσική έγραψε ο Richie Blackmore και τους στίχους ο David Coverdale, ο οποίος είχε δηλώσει πως έγραψε επτά διαφορετικές εκδοχές πριν κάνει την τελική επιλογή. Το "Burn" κυκλοφόρησε και αυτόνομα, ως single (7").
Δελτίο τύπου: «Greek heavy rockers Cellar Stone performing the classic Deep Purple hit "BURN". It was released on the album of the same name in 1974, and was the first song by the Mark III lineup. Written by David Coverdale, Richie Blackmore, Jon Lord and Ian Paice. The song remained the band's concert opener for the next two years, taking over from "Highway Star". It opened Deep Purple's set on the California Jam two months after its release, on 6 April 1974.»

We managed to film this right before lockdown started and we had so much fun during the shootings.
