Corners of Sanctuary - "We Never" (lyric video)
Μας έρχονται από την Φιλαδέλφεια (όχι την Νέα). Ονομάζονται Corners of Sanctuary, δημιουργήθηκαν πριν από εννέα χρόνια και χαρακτηρίζουν την μουσική τους ως New Wave of Traditional American Heavy Metal (NWoTAHM).
Bio: «Philadelphia’s New Wave of Traditional American Heavy Metal Corners of Sanctuary (COS) formed in 2011 with a mission to bring back the sounds of Classic Heavy Metal.
Blazing a trail across the United States, COS has appeared with many notable artists including Saxon, Anvil, Stryper, UDO, Butcher Babies, Grim Reaper, Saving Abel, Tim “Ripper” Owens, Tracii Guns, Tantric, Joey Belladonna (Anthrax), Sponge, the Iron Maidens, Last in Line, Blaze Bayley, Britny Fox, Act of Defiance, Don Jamieson (VH1’s That Metal Show), Janet Gardner (Vixen) and Bulletboys among others.
As well as performing at many legendary venues including Whisky A Go-Go(LA), The Trocadero (PHIL), Rainbow Bar and Grill (LA), World Famous Doll Hut (Anaheim), The Trash Bar (NY) and Rocker (Germany). Corners of Sanctuary performed in Germany and Belgium during a 10 day tour in 2018 and has plans to embark on their first UK tour in March 2020.
COS has appeared on the covers of Spain’s Heavy Riffs Magazine (Aug 2015), Rockwired Magazine (USA) (Feb 2016) and Sin City’s Presents (USA) (Feb 2017). The band was also named “Artist of Month” four times by Rockwired Magazine in August 2015, again in March 2016, March 2018, November 2018 and January 2020.
In February 2019, Corners of Sanctuary was named Rockwired’s “Band of the Year” along with “Album of the Year” for “The Galloping Hordes.” COS’ critically acclaimed album, “The Galloping Hordes,” was released on Killer Metal Records in 2018 and was mastered by former Metal Blade Records exec and producer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, WASP).
The band supported the album with a summer tour in Europe followed by a fall US West Coast tour. Touring continued throughout 2019 with an early summer New England run and a third West Coast tour which had the band performing at the legendary Whisky Ago-go, that fall.
In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, COS unexpectedly had to cancel the remainder of the first UK tour but in its wake released two EPs and signed a new deal with US label RFL Records for the release of their next album “Heroes Never Die,” scheduled to drop October 30, 2020.
The album was once again mastered by Bill Metoyer and produced by COS guitarist Mick Michaels. Hard hitting, head banging, straight forward Heavy Metal is the mission of Corners of Sanctuary - nothing less will do. Old School is back with a vengeance... Metal has returned - COSnROLL!»
