Στο ξεκίνημα της δεκαετίας του ενενήντα ολοκληρώθηκε ο πρώτος (άκρως επιτυχημένος - καλλιτεχνικά τουλάχιστον) κύκλος των Armored Saint. Το 1991 κυκλοφόρησε το τέταρτο album της Αμερικάνικης μπάντας υπό τον τίτλο "Symbol of Salvation". Ο νέος κύκλος έκανε εννέα χρόνια να "ανοίξει" (βλ. τον δίσκο "Revelation" που "βγήκε" το 2000).

Το "Symbol of Salvation" ήταν αφιερωμένο στον (εκ των ιδρυτών της μπάντας) Dave Prichard που απεβίωσε τον Φεβρουάριο του 1990 (από λευχαιμία). Στον εν' λόγω δίσκο συμμετέχει στην σύνθεση εννέα τραγουδιών, ενώ η τελευταία του ηχογράφηση με τους Armored Saint ήταν το σόλο του κομματιού "Tainted Past"...
