Οι Armored Saint δημιουργήθηκαν το 1982. Την ίδια χρονιά παρουσιάστηκαν στο μουσικόφιλο κοινό με το "First Demo". Τα τρία από τα πέντε τραγούδια του demo αποτέλεσαν το ομώνυμο ep που "βγήκε" τον Αύγουστο του 1983. Επόμενο δισκογραφικό βήμα των Αμερικανών metallers ήταν το single "Can u deliver", το οποίο προετοίμαζε το έδαφος για την κυκλοφορία του πρώτου "ολοκληρωμένου" δίσκου τους υπό τον τίτλο "March of the Saint" και τα υπόλοιπα είναι (heavy metal) ιστορία...
