Altar of Oblivion - "Ruins of Samaria" (ep)

"Ανασκαφές" στο παρελθόν τους έκαναν οι Altar of Oblivion κι "ανακάλυψαν" ένα demo που είχαν ηχογραφήσει 2006 με τον νέο τους (τότε) τραγουδιστή Mik Mentor. Μετά από 14 χρόνια βλέπει το φως της δημοσιότητας καθώς κυκλοφόρησε προ ημερών σε ψηφιακή μορφή. Τον Σεπτέμβριο θα κυκλοφορήσει σε κασέτα κι όπως γνωστοποίησε η μπάντα θα "βγει" και σε βινύλιο κάποια στιγμή.

Οι Altar of Oblivion μας έρχονται από την Δανία. Μπάντα επικού doom, η οποία δημιουργήθηκε πριν από δεκαπέντε χρόνια και αναφέρει ως επιρροές μπάντες όπως οι Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Mercyful Fate κλπ. Έχει κυκλοφορήσει τρεις "ολοκληρωμένους" δίσκους, τρία EPs και ισάριθμα demos...

Δελτίο τύπου: «"Ruins of Samaria" was recorded in 2006 but was never released, as we wanted to start afresh, when our present singer Mik "Max Mad" Mentor joined the band in mid 2006. Prior to Mr. Mentor’s arrival, Martin Sparvath handled the vocal duties.

Since the original drum tracks somehow vanished from a hard drive back in the day, drums have been re-recorded by our present drummer Danny Woe. Also, most keyboard parts weren’t to be rediscovered, why our bassist recently added some extra atmospheric layers of gloom.»
