Born under fickle northlight, under the heartless stars
Where icy ocean foam is cutting into skin and leaving scars
No legacy awaited, not for the restless kind
I stepped aboard a longship and left it all behind
Eastwards I was looking for choices, on the silk road I did travel
Over many strange land
I often heard the gods singing voices
That steered me towards living life with weapons in my hand

Like a true Varangian
I have seen battle raging, I have seen brothers die
I have seen blood red snow and I have heard the doomed ones weep and cry
For silvershine and glory, and for my longing heart
Wielding my shield before me, I came to play my part
I stood my ground in fire and fury as a mercenary within the Varangian guard
I carved a rune to vouch for our glory, with my dagger in a
Church bench in Miklagaard

There is a house, of timber, in Holmgaard by a lake
I grieve and I remember, leaving my loved ones with heartbreak
I gazed in light of morning, towards the rising sun
Yet I was caught in mourning, for in regret I came undone
Once again I boarded the Longship
And sailed into the east whilst contemplating what it gave
For I surely have been given good fortune,
And now on eastern shores I shall be given my demise and my grave

Ο Pär Hulkoffgarden είναι Σουηδός μουσικός. Τον γνωρίσαμε ως κιθαρίστα των Βρετανών Atomkraft από την επανασύνδεσή τους (2005) και μετά (υπογράφει ως Payre Hulkoffgarden). Από το 2017 "τρέχει" και το προσωπικό του σχήμα, τους Hulkoff (εδώ υπογράφει ως Hulkoff), αναλαμβάνοντας φωνητικά και κιθάρες.
Τα μουσικά όργανα στις συναυλίες αναλαμβάνουν τρεις... Johansson! Ο Niklas, ο (drummer και των Manowar) Anders και ο Kalle Johansson. Ως προς το μουσικό ύφος των Hulkoff; Viking / Folk Metal. Ένας "ολοκληρωμένος" δίσκος ("Kven" 2017) και μπόλικα singles για τους Viking metallers.
Το πιο πρόσφατο φέρει τον τίτλο "Varjagen", κυκλοφόρησε προ ημερών και περιλαμβάνει το ομότιτλο τραγούδι σε δύο εκδόσεις: με Αγγλικό στίχο και τραγουδημένο στην μητρική τους γλώσσα...
