Ο αυτοκράτορας της Ρώμης Γάιος Ιούλιος Καίσαρας Αύγουστος Γερμανικός (γνωστότερος ως Καλιγούλας) είχε εκφράσει την πρόθεσή του να κάνει ύπατο τον θείο του (Κλαύδιο). Κάποιος σχολίασε ότι θα ήταν καλύτερο να κάνει ύπατο το άλογό του παρά τον Κλαύδιο (τον οποίο προφανώς θεωρούσε παντελώς ακατάλληλο για τη θέση). Ο Καλιγούγας (ως μέγα τρολ) έκανε τον Ινκιτάτο (το άλογό του) ύπατο της Ρώμης. Η ιστορία αυτή ενέπνευσε μία μπάντα από την Αυστραλία επιλέγοντας ως όνομα το Caligula's Horse.
