Goodbye June - "Switchblade Heart" (audio)
A Lucy kiss and a goodbye
A black dress full of white lies
Held the curves tight
Got me stoned, took me for a night ride
She really stuck me good this time
I brought some roses to a blade fight
She carved my name right
Got me stoned, put me in my grave site
Cold blooded, love or hate it
Either way we ain't going to make it
Cold blooded, love or hate it
Either way we ain't going to make it
She’s a switchblade heart
Push the wrong button and she cuts me apart
Twist it just right and she’s leaving me for dead
Laying in her bed, messing with my head
Like a knife in the dark she’s a switchblade heart
She breathes a little life back in
Just to kill me all over again
It’s a dirty little sin, keep me drinking
Will it ever end?

Δελτίο τύπου: «Following in the footsteps of the likes of Blackberry Smoke, Rival Sons and Those Damn Crows before them, Nashville power trio Goodbye June are Earache Records’ latest rock’n’roll signing.
With their determined work ethic, rigorous touring schedule and distinctive sound, that has already been featured in the pages of Rolling Stone and a high-profile Budweiser advertising campaign, Goodbye June’s earthy, organic sound, DIY ideals and no-bullshit approach to writing music makes them a perfect fit for the Earache roster.
With two EPs and the well-received debut LP ‘Magic Valley’ already under their belts, the three-piece are currently hard at work for their first full-length for Earache entitled 'Community Inn'.
Fusing hard rock licks with deep South blues and gospel swing, the three cousins (namely Landon Milbourn [vocals], Brandon Qualkenbush [rhythm guitar, backing vocals] and Tyler Baker [lead guitar]) are fuelled by their desire to craft timeless, catchy and anthemic rock songs.
The band formed after the death of Tyler’s brother in June (hence the band name), vowing to honour his memory with their soulful and life-affirming sound. The band are due to bring their high-octane live show to the UK for the first time this year too.
Having already toured Europe extensively and opened for long-time friends Greta Van Fleet on a sold-out theatre tour last year, Goodbye June have honed their craft and turned into a well-oiled machine when it comes to bringing their sound to the stage, and with Earache’s backing they’re set to conquer the UK too.
The trio will be playing the prestigious Download Festival this summer alongside label mates like Blackberry Smoke and Those Damn Crows, as well as Earache alumni like Carcass and At The Gates.
The performance falls in the middle of a European tour that also includes dates in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and Germany, and there’ll no doubt be more to follow, so watch this space...»
